Do any black people listen to Rush?

If you're black, reading this and like the band, please respond. I'm not
sure what got me to thinking about it, but Rush has got to be about the
whitest sounding band around (well, one of them - and let's not bother
to start a thread about this - it'd be kind of pointless). I'd be glad
to know that some black people like Rush, yet I think I could totally
understand most black people not liking them.
Hey, this is a reply to this question 22 years later.lol Things have changed in the world, but one thing remains true. Rush is still one of the greatest cult bands of our time. People of all skin colors listen to them. Man, when you made this post, Princess Di, Biggie, Jeff Buckley, and Chris Farley was still alive!!! :( We had a Black president for 8 years(which I voted for) and now Donald Trump, of all people, is President of the United States!! whaaaa???

: I'm not black (but I play one on tv...<sorry, I couldn't resist!>), but I
: can report that my circle of Rush-fan friends includes 3 blacks, several
: Mexican-Americans (duh, I live in San Antonio...), and one crazy "pinche"
: Puerto Rican! :)

The members of Fishbone said a few years back in a Guitar Player
interview that they listened to Rush as kids. Apparently they went to a
mainly white high school which is how they first heard them.
Check out Youtube. Black people hearing and reacting to Rush for the first time is a happening theme.

Blacks are almost as free to enjoy Rush as Whites are. As long as they're here legally. Illegals are no different from animals, and animals cannot accept Christ and do not have souls.

So, the voting has closed, and a winner has been selected in the "Can we
find a whacko that's crazy/stupid enough to replace Libby?" contest, eh?

If the door is baroque don't be Haydn. Come around Bach and jiggle the Handel.

a lot has changed since October of 1996.

check out youtube rush reaction videos. there's a lot of
fun reviews happening. :)

in the comments you'll see a lot of references to a Rush
Army - i don't think that sounds nearly as cool as people
think it does - well at least not to me.

There's a Youtube video of a duo of black (rapper?) guys reviewing Rush songs. They review, e.g., "YYZ." That review, however, gets problematic when the guys try to suggest that "YYZ" rips of Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

there's a few reviewers that i won't watch because they're
annoying or too obviously pushing "product[s]". i won't list
them here. :)
